Aiken: Aiken VE Sessions are held on the second Thursday of odd number months at Aiken Prep, 619 Barnwell Ave. NW Aiken, SC, at 7:00pm. Walk-ins are welcome. Charleston Area VE testing, sponsored by the Trident Amateur Radio Club (TARC) is available on the third Wednesday evening of every month at 7:00 pm at the Goose Creek Masonic Lodge, Rte 176, across from the BiLo. Contact Robert Johnson at ae4rj@amsat.org. Walk-ins welcome.
Camden: I will be holding a Tech Class at the Camden SC Red Cross on Dekalb St. on 3/24, 3/31 and 4/7/2007 from 9:30 until 2:00 PM. We will be using the Q&A books and we will have discussion on the Various sections and some handouts. I can use additional help and possibly some VEs although the following weekend there is a VE session in Columbia. VE testing is given 4 times a year. February 2nd and October 11th at 9 a.m. at the Methodist Manor, 2100 Twin Church Road, located between Florence and Timmonsville, SC just off of highway US 76 near I-95 exit 157. April 12th and Dec 13 at 9 a.m. at Carolinas Hospital System, 805 Pamplico Hwy/SC 151 at 9 a.m. Bring photo ID, original and copies of existing amateur license, and your 10 digit FRN if you hold an amateur radio license. Myrtle Beach: VE Testing 4th Saturday of every odd month (Except November) 9am in the American Red Cross building, 2795 Pampus Drive, Myrtle Beach at the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base. The test session in November is typically the second Saturday of the month to coincide with the Myrtle Beach Hamfest. Walk-ins are welcome!
