State Classes/Testing

Barnwell: The SARS VE team has test sessions the third Saturday of each odd number month at the First Baptist Church, 161 Allen, Barnwell, SC at 9:30 AM.  Walkins are welcome.  Call 803 259-1865 or E-Mail wa4bhk@bellsouth.net for more information.

Charleston Area VE testing, sponsored by the Trident Amateur Radio Club (TARC) is available on the third Wednesday evening of every month at 7:00 pm at the Goose Creek Masonic Lodge, Rte 176, across from the BiLo. Contact Robert Johnson at ae4rj@amsat.org. Walk-ins welcome.

Camden: I will be holding a Tech Class at the Camden SC Red Cross on Dekalb St.  on 3/24, 3/31 and 4/7/2007 from 9:30 until 2:00 PM.  We will be using the Q&A books and we will have discussion on the Various sections and some handouts. I can use additional help and possibly some VEs although the following weekend there is a VE session in Columbia.  Contact ka4pxk@arrl.net   I am hoping to get more ARES volunteers and maybe the core to start a Club in Kershaw County. The Florence Amateur Radio Club announces its amateur exam schedule for 2009 as follows:

Feb. 14, 9 a.m.(2nd Saturday) at the Methodist Manor at 2100 Twin Church Road

April 18, 9 a.m. (3rd Saturday) - On the 3rd Saturday, April 18, radio amateur examinations will be given at St. Luke

Lutheran Church, 1201 Cherokee Road, Florence, SC, starting at 9 a.m. sharp. (Cherokee Road begins at Five

Myrtle Beach: VE Testing 4th Saturday of every odd month (Except November) 9am in the American Red Cross building, 2795 Pampus Drive, Myrtle Beach at the former Myrtle Beach Air Force Base.  The test session in November is typically the second Saturday of the month to coincide with the Myrtle Beach Hamfest.  Walk-ins are welcome!  Please contact our VEC Clayton Brantley, W3ZD for further information.  This information is also available on our W4GS Website. Rock Hill:   For classes in the York/Chester/Lancaster County area, contact Brent Case, K4BSC; PH: 803-985-4826. Classes usually start 4 weeks before the scheduled test session, held at the YCARS clubhouse on Squire Road.
